Apart from other tools of learning one way of learning business is by action and participation in research. Following this chain of practical learning through Industrial visits, students of Jodhpur based management institute Indraprastha College of Management & Technology (ICMT) visited the industries in the Industrial Area of the city and understood the working process.

Under the guidance of Mr. S.K. Sharma, President – Marudhara Industries Association, the group of 23 students visited Lotus Gums & Chemicals and Kansara Bearing Ltd. and observed the implementation of management concepts. Asst. Professor Sandeep Solanki and PR Manager of the ICMT Mr. Bhupesh Advani were accompanying the group guide the students.

After reaching at Lotus Gums & Chemicals, group was welcomed by Mr. S.K. Sharma and shown them the plant & organization of the company. The students were informed about the whole production process of Guar Gum and export process. Mr. sharma also pacified the queries of students. While addressing students, Mr. Sharma emphasized students to become Job Provider instead of Job Seeker by developing entrepreneurial skills in them.

At Kansara Bearing Ltd., the M.D. Mr. Navratan Kansara along with Mr. Prasang Mehta (QA Manager) and Mr. Virendra Mathur explained the production stages of “Rollers” (such as hading, tumbling, carburizing, blasting etc), used in Bearings. Mr. Kansara also appreciated the efforts of ICMT on organizing such Industrial visits for the benefit of students.

At the end of the visit Mr. Sandeep Solanki expressesd thanks to Marudhara Industries Association and Mr. S.K. Sharma for playing supportive and coordinative role for the successful visit

Aim of this visit was to ensure student interaction with best Professionals & Leaders in their respective field. These visits are part of curriculum of management programmes at ICMT.
